My first hair trial!

Hair trial in Scranton, PA.  I'm not totally sold on this vendor (because of the makeup, not the hair), so I'm not going to post their name on here yet.

I'll have the barette on the one side that's pulled back.  We took it out after we figured out the placement at the hair salon.

I just got this from White Aisle (www.whiteaisle.com) for my hair.  I decided on leaving it completely down, and using a barrette on one side to pull my hair back.  I want to have my hair all curled, too.  My inspiration was from a bride's hair I saw recently on Platinum Weddings.  My barrette just won't be real diamonds, that's all.  :)

Also a possible accessory.  You can buy these on handlespout.com, or make your own following a pattern in the Martha Stewart Weddings DIY section (http://tinyurl.com/mg3gvh).

Jewelry

These are a necklace and earrings I found on Redotdesigns.com.  I made my own versions with Swarovski cream color pearls, and silver shade crystals.  I made the full 5 strand bracelet, but decided that 3 strands looked better. My best friend, Carrie, agreed, and she wore them for her 8/8/09 wedding.  I will probably be wearing her necklace at my wedding, pictured below.

This is the necklace my friend is going to wear, she bought it from luxedeluxe on Etsy.  The other necklaces are from her website, as well.

Shoes

I finally found flat shoes that I love!  I definitely would go with heels, if John wasn't a bit shorter than me.  They are from the Dessy Group, and were surprisingly affordable, less than $30.  They had a wide range of colors you could chose them in, and it didn't cost extra for colors beyond white, ivory or platinum.  I picked ivory, since my dress is that color, and we're dyeing the crinoline a bright color.

Side note- My shoes were completely trashed after the wedding!  Not a surprise, since we were tramping through a state park for our pictures, and lots of grass, etc, for our post ceremony pictures.  Very comfy, I only had a couple blisters on my toes, but I wouldn't expect them to last long!  My other pair that gets normal use, however, is doing just fine.  Just don't expect a lot from them afterwards if you're going everywhere the day of your wedding in them!
